The course uses a variety of interactive tools to build delegates' confidence in responding to individuals who harm themselves or have suicidal thoughts/plans, by understanding the influences and impact on the health, recovery and wellbeing of those who self harm and may be at risk of suicide.
Level 2 (intermediate) training is suitable for professionals including frontline community staff whose role involves supporting those vulnerable to self harm and sucide risk. These professionals may come into contact with those in distress or with mental ill health, but this is not their primary role, e.g. housing support, teaching staff, community support workers.
