Empower My Voice will be running racial literacy training for partners in Derby. Their mission is to strive to ensure young people within our communities feel valued, seen and heard. We do this by providing the space to explore identity and instill confidence and resilience as we endeavor to empower the marginalised voices of our young people. The racial literacy training they deliver looks to support organisations, community groups and individuals to improve their equality, diversity and inclusion commitments.
The sessions will cover the following areas:
● Unconscious bias.
● Language of race.
● Message Behind the Microaggressions.
● Challenge Racism within your organisation.
● Embedding Equality, Inclusion and Diversity into an organisation
The session will take place in two, two hour blocks;
The first on the 10th May at 9.30-11.30
The second on 11th May at 9.30-11.30
These sessions will be free of charge for partners, usually costing approximately £40pp. These sessions will take place over teams.
