Join our personal development coaching team!
We are seeking a small team of self-employed, qualified, passionate coaches / instructors to help deliver our Employability programmes across Berkshire. These programmes support unemployed adults and young people to overcome personal barriers and develop transferable skills through experiential learning and physically active sessions. We use group working activities, sport, adapted recreational activity and active challenges to develop resilience, confidence, improve mental health and a wide range of tangible employment skills.
Given the nature of our target audience we are particularly interested in individuals that have a qualification in coaching or physical instruction and experience of coaching specific soft skills such as team work, communication etc. We would also be interested in anyone with experience in the employability / training / education sector who perhaps has a passion for sport / physical activity in their spare time. We would also be interested to hear from anyone who has experience helping to prepare unemployed people/ students / economically inactive people for the world work and supporting them to find jobs for example work coaches, employment advisers. However, a pre-requisite is that you must have a good understanding of how physical activity can be used as a tool to develop the wider individual and their wider skill set.
You may have other qualifications such as ETM, Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, Rugby, Hockey, Football, other team sports (or similar). Instructors must have their own Public Liability insurance and be willing to do some admin / planning and preparation as part of the role.
This role is as much about your personality, ability to inspire, motivate and support others as it is about leading an activity.
If you would like to work in partnership with our charity and want to make a difference to your local community please get in touch.
£20-£60 per hour (dependant on qualifications, experience and availability)
The majority of our sessions take place during the day (generally between 10.00 and 15.00) and the courses run for 8 weeks with either one or two sessions a week, lasting approx. 1 hour. We have multiple sessions available and can offer one or two session per week, or more depending on availability. We are able to be flexible with hours and want to form a partnership that works for you however you must be able to commit to blocks of activity at the same time each week for 8 weeks.
