Established in 2005 the NWLSSP is recognised locally, regionally and nationally for high-quality delivery of outcomes for schools, staff, students and the local community. The NWLSSP works closely with 43 schools (37 Primaries) to deliver a wide-ranging and high-quality offer of inter and intra School Games competitions, leadership opportunities, curricular and extra-curricular coaching support, teaching and wider staff CPD and physical activity programmes.
With a track record of achieving outcomes and the ability to attract significant investment, locally from schools as well as other regional and national funding sources, the NWLSSP is firmly established within the locality and looking to ensure the long term sustainability of PE and School Sport in the area.
Job Purpose – To plan, deliver and monitor a coordinated programme of high-quality coaching support to teachers in curriculum PE and by leading extracurricular clubs. The coach must deliver curriculum support and festival activities that are progressive and reflective of the needs of young people whilst supporting and developing Primary School teachers to improve their understanding and ability to deliver high-quality PE and sport for all young people.
