Initial 6 Month Fixed Term Contract with potential to extend to March 2022
Our Health, Leisure and Tourism Services Team at Blaby District Council is committed to providing a first class service to our residents by delivering programmes and interventions that aim to improve their health and wellbeing.
We are looking to recruit an individual to be responsible for the digital engagement of residents to the newly created Active Blaby programme. The Active Blaby programme incorporates a Case Management System with an integrated behavioural questionnaire to support residents to become more active. The outcomes for participants are behavioural support and potentially a referral to a community activity. Further developments include the upcoming build of an integrated website and development of more extensive social media content and presence, all of which this role will lead on.
This role is a wonderful opportunity for someone to take the lead of the development of the new Active Blaby website, collate and produce online resources to support behaviour change and create and implement a digital engagement plan to help residents become more active.
You will also be the lead officer for all of the digital aspects across the Sport & Physical Activity team and will be expected to work on your own initiative and drive your own work programme to achieve our outcomes. Your engaging and creative personality and ability to convey this will ensure the maximum number of residents will resonate with your content and bring people to the Active Blaby website for support.
All staff are currently working from home, and we expect this to continue for a number of months yet. Following this, it is expected that the majority of staff will be home based for a reasonable part of the working week
